Sometimes this fruit will be cooked and then canned,
After they’re picked from the plant – most by hand!
Delicious to use as a sauce or a paste,
Full of great flavor and seasoned to taste.
When warmed by the sun, they are packaged and dried,
You can chop them in half – use a knife to divide!
Stewed, diced, and crushed…sometimes, even WHOLE,
Pick up an extra can – feed someone’s soul!
