Day 34: Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory

Today's Musical Monday celebrates the many hands who helped take 4,000 pounds of heavy bags of beans and rice and turn them into handy, manageable sizes for the families and clients of Metro CareRing. God's work. Our hands!

"Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory"
(The Battle Hymn of the Breakdown)

Go ahead... sing along!

Mine eyes have seen the glory
of the pouring of the beans,

We have trampled out the baggage
where the pintos once were seen.

We have scooped up all the rice
(with just a few grains left to clean),

God blessed our Food Breakdown!

We have written on the baggies
dates for giving out the food,

We have gathered all our family members -
Look! Here's one whole brood!

All this help and service put us
in a patriotic mood,

God blessed our Food Breakdown!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

God blessed our Food Breakdown!

In the beauty of the chaos,
Christ was seen in people’s eyes,

Humble servants picking up the beans,
no matter what their size,

As the crates began to gather,
smiles were shared with grateful sighs,

God blessed our Food Breakdown!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

God blessed our Food Breakdown!

Day 34. Dollar 34. Pound 34. We give thanks on this 4th of July for the freedoms we have, and how we can use those freedoms to open up avenues of HOPE for others! God bless!
